Ian Crosbie is a partner in the Taxation, the Mergers & Acquisitions, and the Private Equity practices. Ian is a member of the firm’s Management Committee. He has extensive experience in a wide range of domestic and cross-border mergers, acquisitions, financings and financial products.
With his broad transactional experience as a base, Ian regularly advises Canadian-based multinationals on international tax matters. Ian has worked extensively on private equity funds, advising financial institutions, venture capitalists and institutional investors on complex tax matters unique to investment funds.

- Acted in connection with the Reuters Group PLC and Thomson Corporation virtual merger.
- Acted for the Symmetry Holdings Inc. acquisition of Novamerican Steel Inc.
- Represented Onex Corporation in the acquisition of Carestream Health, Inc. from Eastman Kodak Company.
- Participated in the formation of EdgeStone Capital Equity Fund III.
